These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of courier services provided by Flatiron Dispatch (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By submitting a delivery request or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope of Services

Flatiron Dispatch provides private courier services within New York City. Services include same-day delivery, time-sensitive transport, scheduled routes, and confidential item handling.

All services are subject to operational availability and acceptance.

 

2. Service Area
We operate exclusively within New York City. Deliveries outside NYC are not supported unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.

 

3. Value Limits & Liability
Unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to pickup:

• Liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of:

  • $100 per shipment, or

  • the actual documented value of the item.

For higher-value items, clients must declare the value in advance and request additional coverage. Coverage may require written confirmation.
Flatiron Dispatch is not liable for:

• Indirect damages

• Consequential losses

• Business interruption

• Loss of profits

• Missed deadlines resulting from factors beyond our control

4. Insurance
Flatiron Dispatch maintains commercial insurance coverage.
Insurance details are available upon request.
Declared value exceeding standard limits must be approved prior to pickup.

 

5. Weather Delays
Delivery timelines may be affected by:

• Severe weather

• Natural events

• Road closures

• Traffic incidents

• Public safety restrictions

We are not liable for delays caused by weather or external transportation conditions.

 

6. Force Majeure
Flatiron Dispatch shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Acts of God

• Government actions

• Labor disputes

• Civil disturbances

• Utility failures

• Transportation interruptions

7. Incorrect or Incomplete Address Information
Clients are responsible for providing accurate pickup and delivery details.
We are not liable for delays, redelivery costs, or failed delivery attempts caused by:

• Incorrect addresses

• Incomplete recipient information

• Inaccessible locations

• Refusal of delivery

Additional charges may apply for reattempted deliveries.

 

8. Confidential & Sensitive Materials
We handle confidential materials with discretion. However:

• Clients are responsible for ensuring materials are legally transferable.

• We do not accept illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items.

• Clients must disclose any special handling requirements.

9. Proof of Delivery
Proof of delivery (signature, timestamp, documentation) is available when requested.
If not requested, delivery confirmation may be limited to standard status updates.

 

10. Payment & Billing
Pricing may be structured as:

• Per-delivery billing

• Recurring route billing

• Contract-based arrangements

Payment terms are confirmed during onboarding.

Late payments may result in service suspension.

 

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by New York law, Flatiron Dispatch shall not be liable for damages exceeding the declared and approved value limit of a shipment.

 

12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York.
Any disputes shall be resolved within the jurisdiction of New York courts.

 

13. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
